With heartfelt gratitude to G‑d, we hereby present the second volume of The Jewish Home, almost all of which is based on the Rebbe’s teachings and directives. We are truly grateful for the widespread acceptance of the first volume, particularly that it is used by so many chassanim and kallos and also so widely employed as a textbook on the subject of marriage in upper schools.

While the first volume focused mainly on the general theme of marriage, the present volume focuses more on the particular aspects of marriage, such as shalom bayis, the woman’s performance of those mitzvos that relate to marriage, and Jewish and chassidic laws and customs relating to a Jewish home.

The Rebbe states: “The marriage of every couple … is connected to the ultimate marriage between G‑d and the Jewish people that will be consummated in the Era of Redemption.” May the present volume of The Jewish Home, which like its predecessor deals with the Jewish state of marriage, serve to hasten our ultimate marriage.
