The thirteenth of Tishrei is the yahrzeit of the fourth of the Rebbeim of Chabad, Rabbi Shmuel Schneersohn — the Rebbe Maharash, who [was born in 5594 (תקצ"ד; 1834) and] assumed the leadership in 5626 (תרכ"ו; 1866). He passed away in 5643 (תרמ"ג; 1882), and his resting place is in the village of Lubavitch.1
